Watercolours of Tan Leong Kheng


Born in 1938 in Singapore, Tan Leong Kheng paints almost exclusively in watercolour. He studied part-time at the
Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1966 and has since been an active member of the Singapore Watercolour Society and
the Singapore Art Society. Although not a full-time artist, Leong Kheng has held 3 solo exhibitions in Singapore and his works are widely collected by public institutions and major corporations. When not painting or teaching, he travels extensively
in both Asia and Europe and has over the years produced series of watercolours from countries as close as Cambodia, Myanmar or as far as France, China or Australia.

  Leong Kheng has been painting professionally since his retirement from teaching in 2001.
